Abducted girl child rescued; 4 suspects held



JANAKPUR: The District Police here has been able to safely free a girl child within 24 hours of her abduction. The police also arrested five persons in suspicion of their involvement in the crime.

The 4-year-old daughter of local Dhruba Mandal from Pulchowk in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolis was abducted from his own residence on Thursday evening. She was released from Baphaiya of Bideha Municipality-8 in the district at 6:00pm Friday.

Information to this was shared by Spokesperson at District Police Office, DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet.
The abductors had demanded Rs 1.5 million in ransom by calling on the mobile phone of girl child’s father. The policepersons mobilized immediately from the Province Police Office and District Police Office after the information about abduction tracked the mobile networking and caught the abductors.

The police handed over the girl to her family after general health check up this evening.
