Unified Socialist candidate Garima Shah  gets elected from Sudurpaschim Province



KATHMANDU: In the National Assembly election, Garima Shah (Madan Kumari Shah) of the CPN-Unified Socialist Party has been elected from the Sudurpaschim province.

Shah got 39 votes from the state assembly and 109 votes from the local level when her rival CPN-UML candidate Santosh Kumari Thapa got 12 votes from the state assembly and 64 votes from the local level.

The Election Commission has not officially announced the result yet.

Vote counting of the candidates under the Other and the Dalit category is underway in Sudurpaschim.
