Dr Koirala gets elected by over 12,000 votes margin

BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress’s Dr Shekhar Koirala won the House of Representatives member from Morang constituency 6.

He defeated his nearest rival CPN (UML)’s Lal Babu Pandit by a whopping margin of 12,278 votes. He received 35,224 votes while Pandit 22,946. He contested from the ruling alliance.

Similarly, NC’s Kedar Karki was elected the Province Assembly member from the constituency 6 (2).

Also sitting Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Province 1, he got 10,450 votes while his closest competitor UML’s Krishna Basnet (Parshuram) 9,273.
