NC candidate wins HoR seat from Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East)-2



NAWALPARASI: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Bishnu Karki has tasted victory in the election to the Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Suta East) electoral constituency-2.

With this, Karki has broken the CPN (UML)’s hold of more than three decades in this constituency.

Karki garnered 36,104 votes as against the 34,083 votes secured by his closest competitor UML’s Til Bahadur Mahat Chhetri in the elections held to the HoR and the Province Assembly on November 20, the Office of the Chief Election Officer stated.
