Nepal sees 51 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 51 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases, 40 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 11 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,024 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,206 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,818 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,223 active cases in the country as 100 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,017 to date.
