Nepal sees 444 new coronavirus cases, three deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 444 new cases of coronavirus and three deaths in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 211 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 233 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,954 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,996 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,958 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,199 active cases in the country as 307 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Three more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,998 to date.
