Prisoner dies in Sindhupalchok



KATHMANDU: A prisoner died in a custody in Sindhupalchok district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Maite Gole, 49, of Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality-5, who had been in police custody on rape and murder charges.

He died at Chautara Hospital, said Rameshwor Prasad Chaudhary, chief of the district police office.

The jailbird collapsed all of a sudden this morning and was rushed to the hospital, he added.

A postmortem of Gole’s body would take place after his relatives reached the hospital, it is shared.
