UML lost election due to cloak-and-dagger behavior: Chair KP Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has said that the main reason for the party’s defeat in the local elections held on May 13 was due to a conspiracy being hatched against UML within the party.

Speaking at a meeting of the UML parliamentary party held at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor on Wednesday, Oli said that the election was lost not because of other parties but because of UML.

“We have to realize that we lost the election due to conspiracy,” he said adding that they would review it thoroughly.

He added that there was no such sabotage even from Madhav Nepal’s party.

“We have to find out how such infighting happened in our party only, which is not the case in other parties,” Oli said.
