NEPSE declines by 34.95 points Monday

KATHMANDU: The stock market, which had seen a remarkable surge on Sunday, has fallen by 34.95 points to reach 2,386.01 on Monday. Compared to the previous day, the transaction amount has also decreased today.

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), which had got the transaction worth Rs 2.53 billion out of 66,039,504 shares on Sunday, witnessed a decline of transaction amount on Monday.

547769 shares were bought and sold at a turnover of Rs 2.42 billion today.

A total of 45 stocks of 239 types of securities and loans were traded on Monday, while prices of 176 stocks declined.

With a rise of 9.99 percent, the Jalpa Community Microfinance became subject to positive circuit today.

Among the companies with the highest turnover today are Arun Valley Hydropower, Shivam Cement, Himalayan Distillery, Api Power, NIC Asia Bank and Nabil Bank.

Arun Valley Hydropower alone had a turnover of Rs 81.1 million today followed by Shivam Cement Rs 66.2 million, Himalayan Distillery Rs 64.3 million, Api Power Rs 568,000 and NIC Asia Bank Rs 53.8 million.
