Coalition leaders to urge all to elect alliance candidates



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the ruling coalition has decided to take initiative through its own mechanism to elect the candidate of the alliance parties.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition held at Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu on Monday morning.

The meeting also directed to register candidature as per the spirit of the coalition. After the meeting, Minister for Communication and Information Technology and Nepali Congress leader Gyanendra Bahadur Karki claimed that there would be a single candidate from five parties across the country.

He said that the meeting decided to give instructions through the mechanism of their respective parties to elect the candidate of the alliance.
