NC schedules next CWC meeting for Sunday

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is scheduled to be held on Sunday as well.

The Friday’s meeting of the party decided to hold the next meeting on Sunday.

The officials of the Provincial Committee offered their briefing on NC’s status for the local election.

According to sources, the province committee chairpersons of province 1, Madhes, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudur Paschim Province briefed about the local level election and the situation of the party in the meeting.

Most of the leaders are said to be of the opinion that NC should contest without forming the coalition in the alliance as the party’s grass-root hold has been stronger of late.

Sunday’s meeting will also discuss the local level election, nomination of office bearers and the prospective alliance.
