PM Deuba in internal discussion with NC leaders after meeting Madhav Nepal



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has intensified internal discussions with NC leaders after meeting CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.

According to Prime Minister Deuba’s secretariat, the Prime Minister is holding meeting with NC leaders at his official residence in Baluwatar.

The NC President has been discussing about the latest development with party leaders including NC Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Thapa, Communication Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki and others.

Earlier, Unified Socialist Chairman Nepal had met Prime Minister Deuba in Baluwatar on Friday afternoon.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the coalition leaders discussed on finding some common ground to address the uneven situation due to the coalition partners’ contradicting stands on the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

The source claimed that both leaders have agreed that the MCC should be passed by safeguarding the ruling coalition.
