Maoist Center to make last-ditch effort to retain ruling coalition



KATHMANDU: After an intensified discussion on the latest political developments, the meeting of the CPN-Maoist Center’s central secretariat decided on Friday to make optimum efforts to retain the ruling coalition.

According to Maoist Center sources, the meeting held at Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s Khumaltar-based residence discussed the latest political developments intensified by the CPN-UML’s continuous protest in the parliament and the tabling of US grant project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in the parliament.

According to Maoist Chairman Prachanda’s personal secretariat Ganga Dahal, the meeting was attended by members of the Central Office as well as former standing committee members and the ministers.

Chairman Prachanda has been assigned the task of making the final decision with frequent discussion with party leaders.
