Maoist Center leaders holding talks on MCC at Khumaltar

Preparing to pull out of govt



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) is holding an internal discussion at party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence in Khumaltar.

The meeting participated by former Standing Committee members of the Maoist Center is dwelling on the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the latest circumstances cropped up in the ruling coalition and the possibility of pulling out of the government, a Maoist Center leader said.

According to the leader the Maoist Center is making preparations to quit the government.

The meeting will hold discussions on the issues discussed during the meeting between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda yesterday.

In the meeting held between Deuba and Prachanda yesterday, the latter said his party would not extend help to pass the MCC but rather be ready to pull out of the government.
