Main opposition submits 20-pt memo to CM Pokhrel

POKHARA: Major opposition CPN UML has submitted a 20-point memorandum to Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel.

UML Chief Whip Mayanath Adhikari submitted the memorandum amidst a program organized at the Office of CM and Council of Ministers on Monday.

The UML expressed severe concern why the present government transferred budget allocated by the previous government and curtailed development plans. It has dampened people’s hope for development, the UML argued. The province government was apathetic to implement the pride projects in the province, Adhikari blamed.

It is stated in the memorandum that the curtailment of ‘one house-one tap’ program launched by the UML-led government would deprive the people of their rights to clean drinking water.

CM Pokhrel has been suggested that the province government reconstructed the roadways in Baglung, Dordi corridor of Lamjung, Marsyangdi corridor, Chunnubri of Gorkha which were damaged in the last monsoon.

He was also urged to widen the scope of coronavirus test. Other issues mentioned in the attention letter are governance, employee management, strengthening of district hospital, development authority, and Gandaki Technical Institute.
