Ruling coalition calls meeting at 3 pm



KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition comprising Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-Moaist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist, and Rastriya Janamorcha, Nepal has called a meeting at 3 pm to finalize the coalition candidate for the new prime minister.

According to NC spokesperson Dr. According to Prakash Sharan Mahat, the meeting will be held at 3 pm today.

“We are working on finalizing the coalition candidate for the Prime Minister, as the largest party in the parliament, NC has proposed party President Sher Bahadur Deuba as the coalition candidate,” he said, adding, “However, Maoist Center Chair Prachanda has proposed that he should lead the government in first phase; we will try to agree within the given time frame to form the government.”
