Nepali Embassy’s cash looted from a car in America



WASHINGTON: Unidentified people looted cash belonging to the Nepali Embassy in Washington by vandalizing a car in America.

According to the Embassy, money orders and cashier’s checks collected from consular service camps were looted.

The Embassy conducted Consular Service Camps in Dallas, Austin and Houston from December 15th to 20th.

Embassy employees were en route from Houston to Washington DC on December 22 when a parked vehicle was broken into and money orders and cashier’s checks were stolen.

But the embassy did not reveal how much money was stolen.

According to a statement issued by the embassy, the robbery took place at 12:03 pm local time.

Immediately after the incident, the embassy informed the local security agencies.

According to the embassy, efforts are being made to bring back the looted money with the help of security personnel.
