Nepal sees 74 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 74 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases, 29 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 45 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,126 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,234 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,892 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,283 active cases in the country as 116 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,017 to date.
