Minister Kunwar pledges to address issues in foreign employment



GODAVARI: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Sher Bahadur Kunwar, has said the government would address issues in the sector of foreign employment.

In his address to a press meet organized by the Socialist Press Organization Nepal, Kailali today (Sunday), he said the government faces legal hurdles in supporting and rescuing Nepali migrant workers reached aboard through an illegal channel.

“There are also legal problems for bringing dead bodies of Nepali migrant workers died in foreign land,” he said.

He expressed the commitments that the government would make initiations to rescue stranded Nepali migrant workers.

According to him, foreign employment sector is marred by malpractices and the government is working on a new plan for the improvements.
