HoR passes prison management bill



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) has passed the ‘prison management bill, 2076’.

Home Minister Balkrishna Khand had presented a proposal seeking the passage of the bill received from the state affairs and good governance committee along with report.

Discussion on the bill followed the proposal made for its passage.

In the second meeting of the HoR, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota announced the unanimous passage of the bill.

The first meeting of the HoR was, however, postponed for 15 minutes, as it failed to secure required quorum.

Home Minister Khand furnished responses to the queries raised by the lawmakers on prison management bill in the meeting.
