Lawmakers draw government’s attention towards Sallaghari fatal accident



KATHMANDU: Members in the House of Representatives have drawn the government’s attention towards a fatal accident occurred at Sallaghari of Bhaktapur today.

Speaking at a special hour of the lower house today, Prem Suwal informed the session that three people died and some others were injured in the accident when a falling tree hit a passengers bus and a scooter.

He urged the government to ensure proper compensation to the victims and better and free medical treatment for the injured. He also demanded the government take measures to prevent possible incidents of same nature in other areas as well.

Mahesh Basnet wished for quick recovery of the injured and demanded the government to remove old vehicles from the route as well.

According to police, three people died on the spot while 12 others were injured when a bus en route to Dudhpati, Bhaktapur from Kathmandu and a scooter heading towards Sallaghari from Dudhpati were hit by a falling tree at Sallaghari of Bhaktapur this afternoon. (RSS)
