Dharan unveils budget of Rs 1.68 billion



DHARAN: The Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City has made public its budget of Rs 1.68 billion for the fiscal year 2021/023.

Deputy Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Aindra Bikram Begha unveiled the budget allocating Rs 833.7 million for current expenditure and Rs 819.5 million for capital expenditure. The city has allocated Rs 32.5 million for fiscal management for the upcoming fiscal year.

Likewise, the city has targeted to manage Rs 250 million from internal revenue sources, Rs 52 million from institutional internal grants, Rs 830 million from the federal government, Rs 35 million from the province government, Rs 205.3 million from federal government’s revenue sharing and Rs 200 million from the province revenue sharing. Deputy Mayor Begha stated that remaining 113 million would be managed from the shift of cash deposit.

In its budget, the city has given priority for drinking water supplies, infrastructure development, tourism, agriculture, education, health care and social development and disaster management.
