UML to make public election manifesto on April 22

KATHMANDU: The main opposition, CPN-UML, has decided to make public its election manifesto and commitment letter for the local level election on April 22.

The election manifesto and local commitment letter are going to be made public on the occasion of the party’s foundation day, i.e. 21 days before the local level election, a party leader said.

The manifesto will be approved by the party’s central committee meeting on Thursday.

Even though the central committee has stated that it will prepare an election manifesto, the local level has proposed to make a separate commitment letter.

Based on the guidelines of the central policy and the framework prepared by the center, the party’s achievements at the local level, the past commitments in the areas where the party has been defeated and the obstacles that have come in the way of the victory of the opposition will be included in the commitment letter with future goals and action plan, the party said.
