Curfew lifted in Letang after three days



MORANG: The curfew imposed at Letang in Morang district has been lifted after three days.

The curfew has been lifted from 6 am today after the situation turned normal, informed Chief District Officer Kashi Raj Dahal.

A district security committee meeting held on Wednesday took a decision to this effect.

Locals had locked up a teacher for allegedly abusing a student sexually.

There had been clashes between teachers and security personnel in the course of rescuing the teacher.

Police constable Urmila Shrestha had been killed in the clashes on March 20.

The local administration had imposed a curfew from 21.
