Immigration deports Charles Sobraj to France

Charles Sobraj, who was freed from jail by the Supreme Court’s decision, has been deported to France on Friday.

The serial killer, Sobraj, released from custody from the Central Jail, was sent to France by the Immigration Department at 6 pm. Sobraj flew by Qatar Airways at 6 pm on Friday.

One arrested from TIA with 19 kg gold

Police arrested Mohammed Ahmed, a citizen of Sudan from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with 19 kilogram of gold.

He landed at the TIA on a flight of Fly Dubai at 2:15 pm on Friday.

PM Deuba, Maoist Chair Prachanda hold talks at Baluwatar

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held talks at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.

According to Baluwatar sources, Prachanda reached Baluwatar to discuss various issues including the leadership for the next government.

NC leader Singh asks Prachanda to support Deuba to become PM

Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakashman Singh met with Maoist Cneter Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and urged him to support NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba to become the Prime Minister for the first two-and-a-half years.

Singh reached Prachanda’s residence at Khumaltar on Friday morning to dicuss the government formation process.

NA forms Coordination and Monitoring Committee to expediate Kathmandu-Terai Madhes Fast Track

Nepal Army has formed a Coordination and Monitoring Committee to take forward the construction of the Kathmandu-Terai Madhes Fast Track (KTFT) at the earliest.

The 72.5 kilometers national pride project is being implemented by the Nepali Army (NA). The four-lane express way will pass through Khokana of Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Makawanpur and reach Nijgadh of Bara district.

Finland govt to provide 4.2 million euros to support Nepal’s education

The Finland government has committed to provide 4.2 million euros to UNICEF’S efforts in Nepal to enhance quality services for children.

Finland’s Ambassador to Nepal Ms. Riina-Riikka Heikka, and Ms. Usha Mishra, UNICEF Representative to Nepal signed a partnership agreement for the years 2023-2027 at a ceremony organized in Kathmandu on Friday.

Bagmati Chief Minister Pandey resigns

In view of the constitutional complications that arose after taking oath of office and secrecy as the member of House of Representatives, Bagmati Chief Minister Rajendra Pandey has resigned from the post on Friday.

After taking the oath of federal parliament on Thursday, Pandey had turned to be in two posts at the same time: the chief minister of Bagmati province and HoR member.

Police nab 2 Chinese nationals involved in human trafficking

Police have arrested two Chinese nationals allegedly involved in human trafficking in Nepal.

According to Kathmandu Police sources, 30-year-old Chen Yang and 33-year-old Ruan Chaohong, the Chinese nationals living in Thamel, Kathmandu, are nabbed on charges of being involved in human trafficking.
