Resham Chaudhary’s father joins Nagarik Unmukti Party



KATHMANDU: Lalveer Chaudhary, who was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Bardiya-2, has joined the Nagarik Unmukti Party.

Lalveer, who is also the father of Resham Chaudhary, joined formally Resham’s party. Resham is the patron of Unmukti Party.

He ran as an independent candidate in the November 20 election.

As the candidature of Resham was likely to be rejected, the party supported his father Lalveer’s candidacy.

Lalveer defeated Maoist Center’s Suresh Panth by 136 votes. Chaudhary got 26,520 votes while Panth got 26,384 votes.

Along with this, Nagarik Unmukti Party will have four seats in the Parliament. The party won the House of Representatives member seats in Kailali 1, 2 and 3.
