One arrested from TIA with 19 kg gold

KATHMANDU: Police arrested Mohammed Ahmed, a citizen of Sudan from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with 19 kilograms of gold.

He landed at the TIA on a flight of Fly Dubai at 2:15 pm on Friday.

Officials at the TIA Customs Office found the gold from Ahmed.

Yamraj Pandey, the spokesperson of the Airport Customs Office, informed that 19 kg of gold was recovered from him during the check.

Officials have initiated an investigation into the case.
