NC’s Badu elected HoR member from Darchula



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Industry, Dilendra Prasad Badu, has won the election to the House of Representatives from Darchula.

Darchula has only one constituency. He won the election to the post of HoR member after 23 years.

He received 28,515 votes. Badu’s closest rival Ganesh Singh Thagunna of the CPN (UML) got 26,381 votes.

According to chief returning officer, Khem Raj Bhatta, out of 89,154 voters in Darchula, 58,058 voters were cast.

Similarly, Bikram Singh Dhami of the Nepali Congress has been elected a member of the Province Assembly (1) and Man Bahadur Dhami of the CPN (Maoist Centre) in Province Assembly (2).
