Janamat Party Chair Raut ensures victory in Saptari-2



RAJBIRAJ: Maintaining a wide difference with the closest competitor, Janamat Party Chair Dr. Chandrakant (CK) Raut has ensured his victory to the post of House of Representatives member from Saptari-2.

His victory has become certain as his difference of votes is more than the remaining votes to be counted.

Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav, who was backed by CPN-UML-led alliance, was contesting against Raut here. The Janamat Party Chair is ahead by twice more votes than Yadav.

As the counting continues, Raut has got 31,963 votes, while Yadav has managed to garner 15,586 votes. Till the time of preparing this news, Yadav is trailing by 16 thousand 377 votes.

Another candidate Jayaprakash Thakur, of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, has  got 6,362 votes. Now there are about 6,000 votes left to be counted. CK Raut’s victory is certain even if the other contestants get all those votes.
