Nepal sees 76 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 76 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Of the confirmed cases, 53 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 23 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,069 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,830 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,239 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,371 active cases in the country as 87 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,016 to date.
