Achham’s pregnant woman airlifted to Surkhet for treatment



DOTI: A pregnant woman who could not give birth even three days after labor began has been airlifted to the Surkhet Provincial Hospital for further treatment, said Achham District Administration Office.

Krishna BK, 20, of Turmakhand Rural Municipality-2 in Achham district was taken to the hospital on a helicopter of the Nepal Army following her difficulties to give birth despite the start of her labor, said auxiliary health worker at Bhulu health center, Rajendra Bista.

The rescue took place for free under the President Air Rescue Program.

The pregnant woman is reported to have given birth by cesarean method, he added.
