Unified Socialist’s Secretariat meeting underway

KATHMANDU: Unified Socialist’s Secretariat meeting is underway at its party office, Aloknagar in Kathmandu.

The meeting is discussing issues related to local-level elections, preparations for the upcoming elections, the ruling coalition, internal politics, and the government.

Meanwhile, there has been a heated discussion between party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and other leaders on the issue of the cabinet reshuffle.

While Chairman Nepal is under pressure to recall the ministers from the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba-led cabinet, PM Deuba has been reluctant to reshuffle the cabinet anytime soon.

The meeting will also discuss the party’s politburo meeting starting tomorrow and the agenda for the day-after tomorrow’s Central Committee meeting.
