NEPSE continues downtrend, drops to 2200 points Monday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has dropped to 2200 points today.

On Monday, the first trading day of the week, the market fell by 34.21 points and stopped at 2200.88 points.

The transaction amount also shrunk as the market declined today. The prices of all subgroups remained low today.

Investors in finance, hydropower, hotels and tourism, and life insurance companies lost the most.

A total of 39,17,655 shares of 224 companies were traded through 28,506 transactions on Monday.

The total turnover was Rs 1.36 billion.

The share price of Gurans Microfinance rose the most by 6.20 percent to Rs 1,136.50 on Monday. Prabhu Life Insurance rose 5.26 percent to Rs 442.10. The share price of Mithila Microfinance fell the most by 5.89 percent to Rs 1,340 on this day.

Shares of NABIL Bank had the highest turnover on Monday.
