Vote count of 9 wards of Kathmandu underway



KATHMANDU: The counting of votes in Kathmandu Metropolitan City is underway.

The vote count of nine wards — 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22 and 26 — of Kathmandu is underway.

Independent mayoral candidate Balen Shah has got 46,476 votes out of 135,693 votes counted so far while Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh has garnered 27,799 votes.

Likewise, UML candidate Keshav Sthapit has got 26,861 votes.

In the Kathmandu metropolis, 167,000 votes were cast.
