CPN-US finalizes candidates for metros and sub-metros

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Unified Socialist (CPN-US) has finalized the candidates for the metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities.

As per the seat-sharing understanding among the five-party coalition, the CPN-US can field mayoral candidate in Pokhara Metropolitan City and deputy mayoral candidate in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Likewise, the seat of Hetauda sub-metropolis mayor and seats of deputy mayors in Itahari, Butwal and Tulsipur sub-metropolises are for the CPN-US.

The CPN-US decided to field Dhanraj Acharya as mayor of Pokhara, Rameshwar Shrestha as deputy mayor of Kathmandu, Meena Lama as mayor of Hetauda sub-metropolis.

Similarly, Chin Bahadur Gurung, Jog Bahadur Rana and Keshav Bista as deputy mayoral candidates of Butwal, Tulsipur and Itahari sub-metropolises respectively.
