CPN-UML Secretariat meeting underway to decide candidates for metros and sub-metros



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the CPN-UML Secretariat is underway to decide candidates for the metropolises and sub-metropolises in the May 13 local election.

The meeting is taking place at the residence of UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli in Balkot Saturday evening.

Registration of candidacy for May 13 elections is fixed for Sunday and Monday.

On the eve of nomination filing, the UML Secretariat is to finalize candidates for the metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities.

Earlier on Thursday, a Secretariat meeting discussed the names of mayoral and deputy mayoral aspirants of the metropolises and sub-metropolises.

The UML Central Committee retains the right to choose mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates of the metropolises and sub-metropolises.
