Suspicion of vandalism and theft in the bench rooms of Kaski court

POKHARA: Two bench rooms of Kaski District Court were vandalized on Tuesday night.

According to Kaski police, the court room number one and number six were vandalized.

The bench rooms one and six were being used for hearing by Chief Judge Shree Krishna Bhattarai  and Judge Dev Prakash Yogi respectively.

Although the bench room one has merely got the door broken, room six has got the cupboard and drawers broken.

Important evidences and the files are suspected to have been stolen.

The police are conducting a search operation at the spot.

The incident came to the public after the cleaning staffs saw the door and cupboards damaged when they reached to the rooms on Wednesday morning.

Interestingly, the ward police office is located in front of the court. Breaking into a courthouse amid such tight security is considered a suspicious incident.

The police have recovered an iron rod used to break the door.
