Alliance not necessary if party gets united: NC leader Koirala



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said the alliance with any political parties is not necessary if the party gets united.

Speaking at a program organized to unveil the election song in Biratnagar on Tuesday, leader Koirala said the party maintains unity and moves united, alliance with any other political parties is not necessary get victory in the upcoming elections.

He expressed confidence that the NC will win elections in all the 753 local elections.

“I have been able to get rid of the bitterness of the General Convention. If we are united, no force can defeat us,” Koirala said.

He further said the NC will become weak if it forges alliance with communist parties which has been proved by the past, referring to the alliance with CPN (Maoist Center) in favor of Renu Dahal in Bharatpur.
