Govt urges Nepalis in Ukraine to leave for home

KATHMANDU: In view of existing situation and latest developments in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged Nepali people currently in the country to leave for home.

The Ministry called on the Nepali community there, except those in dire need of staying there, to return home on available commercial flights.

Issuing a notice Wednesday, the Ministry urged Nepalis planning to visit Ukraine to postpone their visits.

The Nepali Embassy in Berlin, which is concurrently accredited to Ukraine, said that so far more than 38 Nepalis in the country have been contacted and all of them are safe. For necessary assistances, Nepalis in the country can contact third secretary at the embassy in Berlin, Sahara Chaulagain (phone number 491709808063) or email at [email protected].
