Woman worker dies in brick kiln



JHAPA: A woman worker has died at the Star Brick Factory in Kachankawal rural municipality-5 of Jhapa district.

A resident of India, Khatun, who was critically injured after being hit by bricks and mud, was rushed to Mechi Regional Hospital, Bhadrapur. She died while undergoing treatment, police said.

There are half a dozen brick factories operating in Kachankawal rural municipality area. It is said that most of the workers in these industries are Indian citizens.
