Newly-elected MPs take oath
Newly-elected Members of the House of Representatives took oath of office and secrecy today at the Federal Parliament, New Baneswor.
The eldest member of the Lower House, Pashupati Shumsher Rana of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) administered the oath and secrecy to the newly-elected members of the House of Representatives on Thursday afternoon.
PM from the current coalition: Prachanda
Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has claimed of forming a new government led by a Prime Minister representing the current ruling coalition.
Speaking briefly to journalists after taking oath in the Parliament on Thursday, Prachanda said that the current coalition will form a new government.
Maoist Center elects Chairman Prachanda as PP leader
The parliamentary party (PP) meeting of the CPN-Maoist Center held at its office in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, on Thursday afternoon, elected party Chairman Prachanda as the PP leader unanimously.
Earlier, the Maoist Center, which has 32 MPs, decided to elect party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as PP leader in its office bearers’ meeting.
There is a provision that only the PP leader can become the Prime Minister.
Night passenger buses leaving Ktm Valley have to set off only from Gongabu Bus Park
From now on, all night passenger buses leaving the Kathmandu Valley for their destinations have to be parked and get off from the New Bus Park in Gongabu.
The move is for reducing road accidents and traffic jams, said Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.

The government-owned Narayani Hospital based in Birgunj, Parsa has brought into operation the emergency dialysis service.
The hospital has run the 15-bed dialysis service in coordination with the Round Table Nepal and with economic cooperation of the Siddhartha Bank.
Sobhraj’s release delayed in last hour, to be handed to Immigration on Friday
The notorious French citizen Charles Sobhraj, who is serving a prison sentence for the murder of an American citizen, will remain in the Central Jail in Sundhara on Thursday.
The Central Jail had carried out Sobhraj’s health check up on Wednesday with the plan of releasing him on Thursday. After getting the message that there was no separate room to keep him under Immigration, the authority decided to arrange for Sobhraj’s special accommodation within the jail premises for Thursday.
Pokhara Int’l airport sees demonstration flight on Thursday
A demonstration flight was conducted today at Pokhara Regional International Airport.
The Yeti Airlines made the first successful demo flight at the airport.
According to Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula, the flight took off from the old airport at 2:15 pm and landed at International Airport at 2:27 pm.
