Maoist Center elects Chairman Prachanda as PP leader



KATHMANDU: The parliamentary party (PP) meeting of the CPN-Maoist Center held at its office in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, on Thursday afternoon, elected party Chairman Prachanda as the PP leader unanimously.

Earlier, the Maoist Center, which has 32 MPs, decided to elect party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as PP leader in its office bearers’ meeting.

There is a provision that only the PP leader can become the Prime Minister.

Prachanda has been saying that he will become the Prime Minister of the new government to be formed soon.
