Maoist Center electing parliamentary party leader today



KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center is electing the leader of the parliamentary party (PP) today.

The Maoists, who have 32 MPs, are going to elect their party leader on Thursday.

It is likely that party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” will be elected unanimously as the PP leader.

The meeting to elect the PP leader will be held after the swearing-in of the MPs.

There is a provision that only the PP leader can become the Prime Minister.

Prachanda has been saying that he will become the Prime Minister of the new government to be formed soon.
