Eldest member of Gandaki Province Assembly to take oath on Dec 28



GANDAKI: Oath of office and secrecy would be administered to the eldest member of Gandaki Provincial Assembly on December 28.

Gandaki Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung, in accordance with Article 182 (5) of the Constitution and Clause 75 (1) of the province Assembly Election Act-2074, will administer oath of office and secrecy to the eldest member at 11:00 am, said Spokesperson at the office of the Chief of Province, Chandi Prasad Aryal.

Secretary of the Gandaki Province Secretariat, Hariraj Pokharel, said Mitra Lal Basyal elected from Parbat-1 (2) is the eldest member of Gandaki Province Assembly.

Similarly, the eldest member Basyal would administer oath of office and secrecy to other members of the provincial assembly on December 29, added Pokharel.
