UML’s Krishna Gopal Shrestha wins from Kathmandu-9



KATHMANDU: With CPN-UML candidate Krishna Gopal Shrestha’s victory from Kathmandu, UML has got two seats in the House of Representatives in the general election held on Sunday.

UML candidate Shrestha got elected garnering 11,956 votes.

His competitor, Tek Bahadur Pokharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has received 10,961 votes, while Kalpana Dhamala, the candidate of the ruling coalition, has received 6,402 votes.

Shrestha was elected HoR member from this constituency in the elections held in 2074 BS as well.
