KATHMANDU: Richa Thapa is a model with promising acting ability in Nepali films. She entered the career by playing a music video and established herself in this field after a long struggle.

Initially, she acted in the videos of folk and dohori songs along with few modern songs; then she got into films. She has acted in films like ‘Aarop’, ‘Love You Always’ and has shed a distinct impression to the best of her ability.

She has been interested in music and films since she was very young. She believes that it will be difficult to achieve success as expected while struggling. As she has learned a lot from acting in music videos and films, she plans to keep a strong foothold in this field as much as possible.

“Even if you don’t get success in the beginning, you should not give up this field,” Thapa, a model and actress, says, recalling, “Those films have taught me a lot. I will use the learning in the new film.”

She has also received offers from some films. Yet she has refrained from signing a new film unless assured of the justice she can do to the role sought in the script.

Recently, she also played a small role in the movie ‘Lognemanis’. Apart from that, she is mostly focused on music videos. Thapa, who hails from Dolakha, is a model and actress who loves acting.

Currently living in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, she is interested in acting in feature films. She prefers to make music videos with stories and says that she also wants to act in big banner films.
