Former IGP Khanal joining CPN-UML today



KATHMANDU: Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarbendra Khanal is joining the CPN-UML party today.

Party sources said UML Chairman KP Oli is welcoming Khanal to the party at a program at party office Chyasal on Thursday.

A source said Khanal met Chairman Oli at his residence in Balkot on Wednesday.

According to the source, Chairman Oli has assured Khanal of some major responsibilities in the party.

Khanal is expected to get a ticket from Bara, Parsa, or Kathmandu in the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives.
