Maoist Center and Unified Socialist to contest Nov 20 elections with single manifesto

KATHMANDU: The CPN Maoist Center and the CPN Unified Socialist have agreed to carry a single manifesto in the November 20 elections.

Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Senior Vice Chair Narayan Kaji Shrestha and CPN Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal agreed to this effect on Monday.

The leaders held talks in Hattiban of Lalitpur earlier today.

Maoist Senior Vice Chair Shrestha added they also agreed to form an unity coordination committee to unite the two parties after the election.

Earlier, the United Socialist had formed a committee to unite with the Maoist Center.

Similarly, Prachanda is putting efforts into uniting Nepal’s communists forces and in the process, has brought Dr Baburam Bhattarai on his side.
