HoR removes other agendas besides citizenship Amendment Bill for Friday

KATHMANDU: Agendas other than the Citizenship Bill have been removed from the agenda of Parliament.

The agenda issued by the Secretariat of the Federal Parliament for today’s meeting mentioned that Home Minister Balkrishna Khand will present a proposal to pass the Nepal Citizenship First Amendment Bill.

The Parliament session started a while ago. The government is preparing to pass the citizenship bill on fast track through today’s session.

Previously, the possible agenda included Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s proposal to send the Nepal Special Service Bill to the relevant committee for quarterly discussion, Home Minister Khand’s proposal to pass the Prison Bill 2078, etc.
