Counting of 15 wards completes, Balen gets 41,279 votes

Balen Shah: 41,279 Sirjana Singh: 23,855 Keshav Sthapit: 23,024



KATHMANDU: Independent mayoral candidate of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balen Shah has garnered more than 41,279 votes. He is 17,424 votes ahead of Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh.

Singh has got 23,855 votes as of Sunday afternoon.

Similarly, Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML has got 23,024 votes.

Out of 32 wards of the metropolis, the vote counting is over in 15 wards so far.

The local elections were held on May 13.
